Shipping and discretion

Two to three weeks in transit after the body leaves the build and paint room. Here is exactly what the carrier sees and what happens if something goes wrong.
Packaging and paperwork
Every body leaves the build room in a rigid flight case, and the flight case goes inside a plain, unbranded outer carton. There is no logo on the outside, no product photography, no brand name, and nothing printed on the carton that suggests what is inside it. The carton is what the carrier handles and what a neighbour or a front desk sees.
The paperwork carries a generic goods description and the declared value required for the destination country. Where a destination requires a specific commodity code we use it, because customs have to be told something accurate even when the front of the box is not. Nothing is deliberately under-declared.
Transit, tracking and delivery
We ship with established international freight carriers and match the carrier to the destination. Carriers change with routes and local rules, so we confirm the carrier being used for your country when the build is booked rather than promising one you may not get.
You get the carrier's tracking reference as soon as the crate is collected, and we watch the tracking alongside you. If it stalls for more than a few days, email us and we will chase the carrier rather than leaving you to do it.
Delivery requires an adult signature. The carrier will not leave the crate unattended and will not hand it to anyone who cannot sign for it as an adult. Plan for someone being there, because a missed delivery on a crate this size means a redelivery or a depot collection.
Customs, duties and import taxes
Customs, duties and any import taxes are the buyer's, and they are charged by the destination country rather than by us. The declared value is the value shown on your build agreement. If you would like an estimate before you commit, ask and we will tell you what we have seen for your destination.
If the crate arrives damaged
Photograph the carton before opening it if it shows any damage, then photograph the crate and the body as you unpack. Email [email protected] within 72 hours of delivery with the photographs and the tracking number, and stop unpacking further.
We reply within two working days with one of three answers: a field fix we will walk you through, a bench repair with a collection at our cost, or a rebuild. We handle the carrier claim from our side, because that is our conversation with the carrier, not yours.
After 72 hours we can still help, but a transit claim becomes much harder to make and the fault is harder to attribute, which is why the window is short.
Questions about any of this? Email [email protected] and we will answer in writing.
